T To Configure a Modem PCMCIA Card

1. Install the modem card and select “Modem” from the pull-down menu on
the PCMCIA Management screen.
See “To Begin Configuring a PCMCIA Card [Expert]” on page 306, if
needed.
2. To enable PPP, do the following steps:
a. Check the PPP checkbox.
b. Enter an IP address in the “Local IP” field, if desired.
By default, the IP address of the OnSite is used. Only change the IP
address if you have a specific reason to do so.
c. In the “Remote IP” field, specify the IP address to assign to the other
end of the PPP connection, if desired.
